“In my recent series of work, I employ repetition with randomness through multiple layers of square shapes in a grid pattern on the canvas. I am interested in how the imagery of a random, colorful grid pattern is perceived by the viewer. We as humans always try to make sense of what we see by joining visual elements like shape, color, and form. I deliberately use square shapes in a grid format as it has relevancy with the language of pixels in the digital image. However, I want my imagery to be arbitrary, abstract, and ambiguous; I want the viewer to perceive what they want to see”.
