Alice Nguyen

Alice is a second-generation Vietnamese-Australian. She has travelled across the world and is inspired by the places she has lived in. She is fascinated by how the natural landscape of each region can be so vastly unique but consistently beautiful.

When Alice finds herself in a new corner of the world, she seeks out the quiet forms of its nature. She surrounds herself in it, allowing its more unassuming aspects to convey its beauty to her.

This is evoked by her use of watercolours. The saturation and fluidity of her artworks are a reflection of her constantly shifting surroundings. The use of gold pigment is an expression of the joy that Alice feels when she finds that momentary sense of home.
